On April 1, 2009, Unsigned and Independent Entertainment entered the scene. At that time, U&I was a very small PC distributor providing boxed goods to the biggest retailers in the U.S. Today, we have the privilege of shipping more video game software titles to those retailers than any other publisher or distributor in the world.
In the beginning, we knew content creators and marketers were striving (and struggling) to bring their projects to life with retailers who were limited on time and resources. These retailers were trying to do it all at once, and all by themselves—they needed someone to strategically lighten the load and allow them to fully engage. That’s where we come in.
U&I’s business model and the plan was therefore built around two simple ideas:
-Help content creators and marketers (both small and large) put their best foot forward at the largest retailers in the U.S. through the entire lifecycle of each and every one of their new releases.
-Help retailers focus on their most important objectives through the consolidation of communication and financial transactions across the video game industry.
